How Kashmiri merchants, can teach you to be a good seller???
It was I guess the second day staying in the beautiful house boat in "Dal Lake" and I came out to enjoy amazing view of "Dal Lake" and breathe in the pleasant air of Srinagar which suddenly I noticed some boats were rushing towards me!
Then one of them came to my houseboat and I smiled! That was it! in blink of an eye, I saw one of them inside the balcony of my houseboat bringing some white bundles! But what was it?
When I was asking just this question from myself, suddenly I found him inside my houseboat, opening those bundles one by one in front of my eyes! for them one nice smile on a lady's face could mean a permission I guess! :)
But with the gentle smile on his face what I could tell him??
I decided to stop being grumpy and just enjoy what that moment was bestowing me!

But " gosh....I loved those stuff! Those were my weak points and he knew how to press it!
All those lovely Shawls and stones! All those colors! all those beautiful handcrafts being wrapped in a nice simple bundle without boasting!
I was thinking about all these things that I noticed some others also came to the door of my houseboat with their bundles in their hands, one by one! I was all shocked ! literally shocked! :)
I resisted myself from buying anything "The first two days" but they came to me day after day and finally I gave up without even knowing ! ;)
The first day, I indulged myself in the beauty of their handicrafts! Their patience to catch my eyes,by all means was surprising me!

In the end I came to realize Kashmir merchants or even vendors are the cleverest ! they are so calm, gentle yet so patient and finally they will find a way to catch your eyes and sell you something but they never seem like stalkers!
They might even wait for some hours standing on their feet,at the door of your houseboat, smiling at you whenever you look at them just to get a chance of even one minute to showcase their goods!!
They never get disappointed by your "No" at all! they just smile and come next morning again!
Later on I asked myself,Maybe "Mr.Wonderful" man had told all of them about me! who knows! :)
